The opener for Heroes Season Three Episode One is bizarre - thank goodness. Way to go Kring and crew.

The first thing we get to see is Claire chasing Peter down. She shoots but he escapes the bullet and ends up in "Present Day."

WTF?? Great opening scenario!

In this episode (in no particular order), we have Sylar playing (mad) doctor on Claire and Dr. Suresh playing mad scientist on Maya!

Nathan gets shot and is immediately rushed to the hospital. Matt gives chase to but loses the shooter. He and Peter wait at the hospital where a doctor finally exits and says "I'm sorry" to Peter...Nathan is dead.

Or he's not?

Soon, Nathan enters a church (bizarre!) and starts talking like a religious fanatic, saying God's plan is for all people to "save the world."

Back in Tokyo, Hiro makes a blunder and loses half the secret (half a secret formula. left to him by his father) that can destroy the world...he loses the secret to a girl who moves really fast - faster than his stopping of time!

Future keeps coming into contact with the present and here, even Hiro's sidekick, Ando has powers - wow! Seriously, Ando's a major badarse in this episode!

Mohinder finds the secret to hero powers in Maya's adrenaline and, late in the episode, injects himself with a solution containing hero powers! (Mad, Mohinder, that's just Mad-Crazy and you know it!).

Peter and Nathan's mom asks Peter, "What have you done with my son?" and tho' she's talking to Peter, she means "Where is Peter, my son?"

The narration near the end of this episode, in Mohinder's voice, is particularly OMINOUS...chilling - perhaps the Dr. Suresh's new power is the supernatural power of OMINOUSNESS...we'll have to get to the next episode to actually find out what Mohinder did to himself!

For those not able to watch this episode on the American NBC television site, don't worry - I managed to watch the full episode at www.theidiotboxtv.com and the video played smoothly, without a catch or any lag whatsoever!

A painting of Claire Bennet sold for over $8000.00 last month - yes, that's EIGHT THOUSAND plus dollars!

It was sold through an NBC Universal auction and bidding appears to have started at $100.00.

The winning bid was $8 365.00 by a bidder called "britishcitizen"

At one point, a bidder named 'hrg' bid one thousand dollars, then $3500.00 later on, too, but 'britishcitizen' waited until bidding was up over $6000 and then got into the game!

That's a lot for a Heroes picture, but I'm sure britishcitizen is happy with his purchase. He's got a one of a kind painting of Claire Bennet now!

My Pendant came in a couple of weeks ago from NBC Universal.

It's a nice one and I've had several comments on it. A few people have asked me to order one for them, and I'll get right on that

Most people who have commented have also said they can't believe I watch a show like Heroes...because it contains a lot of fantasy...

Whoops - so sorry - I will have to hide my school books on "Plato" better, so that people don't think that I ONLY think about serious topics. Heck - that's schoolwork.

Anyhow, since I finally found the link, I thought I'd mention that the NBC Universal store has great Godsend/Helix pendants and that I've already ordered and received mine.

One of my favorite Heroes characters is Matt Parkman, played by actor, Greg Grunberg.

I was just browsing around You Tube and found this video with Greg Grunberg splashed liberally all over it.

So, after the big debate about 'good show,' 'bad show,' from a few weeks bad, do you think that HEROES storylines are improving?

Do you like what's going on now with Hiro?

Are you satisfied with changes the writers have been making to improve the show?

Episodes 9-11, "Cautionary Tales," "Truth & Consequences," and the most recent, "Powerless," have exibited a LOT of shifts.

Which of these has been your favorite episode?

(Truth and Consequences is supposed to have the appropriate 'ampersand' character in the title, but the blogger format wont' accept the ampersand in the 'keywords' area of the post...just a warning for those doing keyword SEO stuff)

I'm still pondering over what's happening in Season Two...

Though I DO like the changes that I've seen Kring and Crew apply to the show in the past two weeks, I'll reserve judgment on the show, as a whole until later this week.

Truthfully...I missed the first half of the last show *hanging head low* Yes, it's true. The Canadian Heroes FANATIC, Teeray (me) actually MISSED part of a show...

I will catch up on viewing the most recent episode and then comment on it by the weekend.

What I did see...FREAKED ME OUT!

What the freakin' H--- was MAYA doing with SYLAR?

Again, for a SECOND WEEK in a row...I am in denial...

I did NOT see Maya smooching Sylar...

No, no, no...that just did NOT happen...I closed my eyes and that vision went away!

It exists only as a scant remnant of my imagination now...I am going to close my eyes during that portion of the show once I locate the best online viewing source for Heroes this week!

One part that I DO REMEMBER from the show and will verify, along with a 'thumbsup'.....

*cheering* YAY, Claire! Way to tell that freaky, disturbed Elle right off, my fine cheerleader friend! I really LIKED WHAT I SAW.....Claire has really got some 'umph' going for her at this point.

Well, Heroes Fans, we're about to find out - tonight - if Tim Kring and the Creative Crew can pop the Heroes series out of its 'funk.'

I'm settin' up my place for 1 uninterrupted hour to watch Heroes tonight at 10pm, my time (9pm Pacific, 8pm Easter).

This is one weird episode!

Matt's dad - is he ever messing the Heroes up!

Everyone is morphing around and flashbacking...I might have to watch this one twice in order to 'get it' all. Once on TV, once online...

Oh cripes - the virus mutated, too - to a strain immune to Mohinder's antibodies..... WTF??? Niki's gonna die now?

And Hiro just managed to time-trip himself home - to find out from Ando that his father was murdered.....whoa - a LOT happening...

Good luck figuring this one out, people...

(Even before the first commercial break!)

Whoa - Sylar has already made a rift in between the siblings, Maya and Alejandro! Maya wants Sylar's help still - to find Suresh. Alejandro wants to ditch Sylar as soon as possible because Alejandro KNOWS that Sylar is dangerous...

What does Sylar want?

He said it quite plainly to Alejandro...he wants to kill and take the extraordinary powers from the siblings...

How could Maya miss that?

Claire Bennet not in this episode! This is a first! Claire has been in all the Season One episodes and the previous 4 Heroes Season Two episodes.

New character, Monica, shows off some uncanny abilities in this episode while our sweet little Micah tags along, watching.

And.....uh-oh, I am not having any luck at the usual UK site where I have always been able to view past episodes before.

Don't worry though - I'm still looking around for clips and things for viewers who might not be able to use that USA link!

If you've been watching Heroes on NBC TV for a while and particularly, from the very start of Season One, you'll remember that viewers didn't know the identity of one of the characters.

This continued for a while...there was a character that viewers could only partially see. The visible part of the character - a man, was the side of his face and a distinctly identifiable pair of Horn Rimmed Glasses...

I'm curious as to what Sylar's going to be up to tonight. Is he just gonna start stalking Heroes and killing everyone he thinks has extraordinary abilities - like he did in Season One?

I'm not sure what to think of Maya yet, but maybe after tonight's episode I'll know better.

I realize that Season Two is well under way and we're heading into episode #4 tomorrow night already, but many people are just tuning in who missed last season. Some people are a little confused as to the characters (there are so many!).

I just read an interesting interview where Tim Kring speaks out about what's in store for Heroes Season Two.

Basically, he says to face facts:

There are limited numbers of truly COOL 'superpowers' or abilities. The rest are variations upon certain powers.

In season two, Kring focuses on showing viewers that these EXTRAORDINARY abilities are becoming known to people ALL OVER THE WORLD, so naturally, Kring can't INVENT brand new abililties for everyone he brings into the show!

OF COURSE - there will be characters who have similar or same abilities...no rocket science here. There can't be only one person in the HEROES world with the extraordinary ability to fly or be invisible or heal or whatever... particularly if more characters are going to show up and cast/Heroes numbers rise.

So - don't be tuning in looking for more special effects designed to highlight new abilities that you've never seen before...instead look for how the Heroes find new ways to use their abilities!

Besides - the character interaction and what the characters DO with their powers are what will be important in Season Two (Generations).

After all - don't we all want to know how the people USE their powers and cope with the fact that they have extraordinary abilities? This is what is important.

For instance - in Season One (Origins) I thought that Nathan was a jerk for a long time. He never did anything wonderful with his abilities, he never helped anyone out via use of his extraordinary powers, now did he? Not for a lonnnnnng time, he didn't!

While other characters began to use their abilities to help others, Nathan just sat around KNOWING that he could fly!

Even Peter was TRYING TO USE abilities for the good of others during a time when he didn't even KNOW what abilities he possessed. Hiro, of course, is all about helping others...

"Save the cheerleader, save the world" is this not the mantra that both Hiro and Peter use all throughout Season One? And THIS is more important than the special effects or television effects of any abilities...

Kring hints that some of the Heroes characters are going to fall back on old ways, so we're not going to see everything we want to see this season. Obviously, most people want to see Heroes using their abilities to the utmost potential and for the good of all mankind...ultimately, this is what Heroes are supposed to do, right?

Well - it's not going to happen right away in Season Two of the Heroes season.

The interview is from September 13, which occurred 11 days before the season opener show, so you'll note that Tim drops some hints but keeps a pretty tight lip on scenarios, characters and plot development.
